Tiberias is a popular Israeli city on the shores of the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret), Tiberias offers diverse water sports, Christian and Jewish holy places, history and a range of accommodations. South of the Old City is Hamat Tiberias National Park, providing unique natural therapeutic hot springs, with as much as one hundred therapeutic minerals in the water. In the 2nd through 10th centuries, Tiberias was the largest Jewish city in the Galilee, the Jewish political and religious hub, as well as the center of Jewish spiritual, and artistic creativity.
